Follow the steps below to open your account
Contact your Raymond James financial advisor to submit your application. If you do not have a Raymond James advisor, contact a member of the Raymond James Charitable team for submission instructions at 866.687.3863.
To open a DAF account, please follow the steps below. The minimum initial contribution is $10,000.
- Review our DAF brochures:
- Complete your application and contribution form(s).
- Donor Advised Fund Application
- See the Asset Transfer Instructions below for the correct form to use for your contribution.
- Submit your contribution by mailing a check, wiring funds with a Gift of Outside Assets form or submitting a completed Raymond James Contribution Form to your financial advisor. If you do not have an advisor, you may email, mail or fax your completed forms to Raymond James Charitable.

Raymond James Accounts: To make a contribution to your donor advised fund, work with your financial advisor and complete the Contribution Form.
Other accounts: Once you have opened your account online, work with your financial advisor to submit the Gift of Outside Assets Form or send it directly to Raymond James Charitable via email, mail or fax.

Stock certificates
- Mail to Raymond James Charitable your application, certificate(s) and Stock/Bond Power(s).* We suggest a mail method requiring a receipt and mailing the certificate(s) and Stock/Bond Power(s) in separate envelopes.
- Mail your original Letter of Instruction (see “Gift of Stock or Bond Certificate”).
- Endorse the Stock/Bond Power(s) exactly as name(s) appear on each certificate, and we will complete the rest of the form. Sign one Stock/Bond Power per certificate.
- Photocopy the Stock/Bond Power as needed.
If you are considering gifting illiquid assets (such as real estate, private company stock, insurance, etc.), please contact us for more information.
*Your contribution cannot be processed with a faxed copy. Please mail the original directly to Raymond James Charitable.
